Early Departure from Cusco and Breakfast Stop in Mollepata
We will pick you up from your hotel at 4:30 AM to travel to the town of Mollepata, which is a 3.5-hour journey. We will make a stop after 2.5 hours of travel for breakfast.
Journey to Soraypampa and Start of the Hike
We will then continue the journey for another hour to the Soraypampa area, where the hike will begin. We will start a hike of approximately 2.5 kilometers to the Humantay Lagoon. This hike will take between 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and physical condition. The initial sections of the trail are not very steep, but near the end, the incline becomes steep and the fatigue increases.
Arrival at Humantay Lagoon - Stunning Views of the Andes
When you reach the Humantay Lagoon, you will be able to appreciate its magnificent turquoise color and the imposing surrounding mountains, including the majestic Humantay snow-capped peak. You will have time to regain your energy, enjoy the scenic views, and take the necessary photos.
Return to Soraypampa and Lunch Stop in Mollepata
Finally, you will begin the descent back to Soraypampa, where the transportation will be waiting to return to Cusco. We will make a stop for lunch in Mollepata before continuing our journey back.
